justifying my slackness with the site
You know how those women who have knitting, sewing or any kind of craft blogs take a picture of their latest creation to show the world? Well i’m not one of them. While some lucky women out there can take a picture of themselves anytime of the day, anywhere wearing anything, some others not so lucky like myself can’t. I’ve never been photogenic so this isn’t new, but being 35 going on 36, those wrinkles, droopy cheeks and bags under the eyes are all i see now when i take a spontaneous photo of me wearing my latest knit. Not to mention all those grey hairs that are not yet obvious but just give me a dull look. Why do you think you only see the cup in this post? I could show my stuff presented on a dummy one could say. It’s true but i don’t like the sterile message it sends out, i like to give attitude and movement to my things, so i wait, and wait, and wait for the day i feel like i have a camera-friendly face, in vain. My new strategy is getting my pretty friends to pose for me, unfortunately i only have the one nearby, the others are all overseas. So now i have to bend my agenda and lure Rime into posing for me, but she’s such a honey she’s always up for it, and lucky for me she’s absolutely gorgeous! From now on i imperatively need makeup to be photographed and even then i won’t bet the farm on the result. So there. That’s why i’ve been slack with the site, it’s frustrating because i have about ten new designs to put up there, that’s right, ten! I suppose i can no longer delay the obvious, i must get my hair dyed and make a habit of wearing makeup, aargh. I really hear those hollywood stars wanting to stay young!
