Burgandy is the best. Went for a five day break at our friends’ place, and please forgive my showing off, but i shall brag a little about the fact that I drove all the way there, yes! No accident, although i did have to literally step out of the car to collect my ticket at the toll booth, still can’t quite master the distances of our huge SW… But my friend, my three animals and myself all arrived safe and sound. We had amazing weather, the food was great, the wine, the beer, the company.. Fruit and veges from the garden straight into our stomachs, strawberries, raspberries, the best figs ever, lettuces, pumpkins, tomatoes… A life very very far from the one i left behind -just for a few days. I can say it now, the word is out, i work for a very cool young designer called Alexandre Vauthier, one of the few up-and-coming French designers, a bit like Maxime, remember him?
Anyway, after a temping mission that went very well, they have asked me back until the end of November, that’s when i have my yearly three week contract with the IFM. And after that, hopefully i can go back again.

It’s been quiet i know, but there’s a certain lady located exactly on the opposite side of the planet who is working on a new, more modern, friendlier version of the blog. Ah the magic of internet.
All i can say for now is that my new job is really cool, the commute is quite long but i feel like i really shouldn’t complain about working just off the Champs-Elysées. You can find me at the virgin megastore bookstore at or a the starbucks for my soy milk latte at lunchtime :))
I would like to thank all the ladies who wrote to me over the holidays with lovely messages, some complimenting me on my existent work, some encouraging me for my future endeavours. I was quite overwhelemed, and i promise to do my best to keep bringing you exciting news.

I leave you with this my friends. I’m off on holiday, yaaay! Will be back at the end of August. That’s when i will put up more pictures of my amazing visit at the “musée Bourdelle”, named after this amazing sculpture, Antoine Bourdelle, who was around in the 19th century.

This is a picture of all the garments i need to alter. There are exactly 17 in total and i’m not sure i haven’t forgotten some in my closet. Most of them have been waiting to get my attention for some time, like the dress from NZ that dates back to my last trip there, four years ago! As i said, shame on me. I don’t want to aim too high, as i tend to do n’est-ce pas… but i would like to have all the alterations done before i go on holiday on the 6th of August. Yeah i know, it’s way too optimistic. Especially since some of these alterations require unpicking the zip and lining, man i’m tired just thinking about it. Wish me luck, i will make sure you don’t miss anything on my progress :)

So, I can officially come out with my great news.
1. I got my driver’s license!!! Finally, ten years after getting my New Zealand one, which btw expired in March… Now i have a french one! What joy. I’ve been driving around in our humongous station wagon, dodging by very little a divorce with Quentin. Let’s wait and see who will be thanking the skies when i get picked as the designated driver!
2. I have a job lined up for August!! It’s for this amazing young designer, he’s about my age and is about to launch his third or fourth collection. Sorry, no name dropping for now, i’m big on the whole jinx thing. I will be working in a small street just off the Champs-Elysées where there’s not one but TWO Zara stores. I must find the willpower not to spend all my money there, cause you see, if i want to avoid making a change on the metro, i have to walk past it in order to get to the right station, hmm.
